Care & safety
How to clean cases, woven straps and charms, and safety notes on straps, guitar straps and small parts.
Last updated 3 November 2026
Cases
- Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. A drop of mild soap is fine; dry straight away.
- No alcohol, solvents, bleach or abrasive cleaners — they can dull the print.
- Take the phone out of the case before cleaning, and let the case dry completely before putting the phone back.
- Keep out of hot cars and direct sun for long periods.
- If your phone gets unusually warm on a wireless charger, or the charger warns you, take the case off while charging.
Woven phone straps and guitar straps
- Spot-clean with cool water and a little mild soap; press dry in a towel and let it dry flat. Don’t machine-wash, tumble-dry or iron.
- Check the clip hooks, the tab card, the buckle and the button holes before each use. Stop using a strap if the webbing frays, a hook bends or a button hole tears.
- Guitar straps: make sure both ends sit firmly on the strap buttons before you play. We recommend strap locks.
Pick charms and earbud cases
- Wipe with a soft dry cloth.
- Earbud cases: take the earbuds out before cleaning; let the case dry fully before use.
Safety
- Straps: long straps can be a strangulation hazard. Keep away from young children. Don’t wear a crossbody strap while operating machinery. Don’t swing the phone on the strap or hang it from moving objects. We don’t publish a load rating, because the straps have not been independently load-tested.
- Small parts: pick charms, tab cards and clips are small parts and a choking hazard. Keep away from children under 3. The charms are not toys and not made for playing guitar.
- Cases: cases are not drop-tested by an independent lab, so we give no drop-protection rating.
