Why ZELMUNIO makes phone cases like record sleeves, why the phone strap and the guitar strap share one weave, and what we will and will not claim.
Every phone has a Side B
A record has two sides. Side A is the one everyone knows. Side B is where the stranger, quieter, better songs end up — the ones you only find if you turn the record over.
ZELMUNIO treats the back of your phone as its Side B. Our cases are printed with record sleeves for albums that do not exist, and with cassettes you can see straight through. The fronts of our phones all look the same; the backs do not have to.
Sleeves that only exist here
Every sleeve on a ZELMUNIO case is drawn for us. There is no real band, album or record label behind any of them, and none of them copies a famous cover. Side B, Liner Notes, Night Bus, Paper Moon Motel, Quiet Room 7 — the records are imaginary; the artwork is ours.
The fourteen sleeves and eight cassettes are the first pressing. We number every product like a track — A1, A2, B1 — so you can find it again.
One weave, two instruments
Our phone straps are woven on a jacquard loom, like a guitar strap. So we made the guitar straps too. Delta Weave, Sunburst Stripe, Checkerboard Groove, Cherry Wave, Cream Ladder and Night Bus each exist at phone-strap width (25 mm) and guitar-strap width (50 mm), with the same pattern. Wear the phone on one and the guitar on the other.
The same patterns run through our pick charms and some of our sleeves. We call a pattern that shows up on several things a song: one song, played on a case, a phone strap, a guitar strap and a set of picks.
What we print, and what we don’t
We print the things we know: the iPhone and AirPods models each case is made for, strap widths, adjustable lengths, and how each strap fastens. We do not print drop ratings or load figures, because our cases and straps have not been through independent drop or load tests yet. When they have, we will say so and show the result.
We don’t show reviews we didn’t receive, sales we didn’t make or press we didn’t get. The photos on this site show our designs; phones, guitars and records in the pictures are not part of the products.
